The Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) was established in 1969 under the auspices of the Irish Department of Education & Science to control standards in EFL schools and organisations through an inspection/recognition scheme. Edgewater College is an approved test centre for the TOEIC test. The TOEIC test (Test of English for International Communication) measures the ability of non-native English-speaking people to use English in everyday work activities.

Edgewater College is a member of Drogheda Chamber of Commerce. Drogheda Chamber of Commerce was established in 1894 and, since then, it has played a distinguished and important role in the history of the town and in the development of the business and commercial life of Drogheda.

Edgewater College are approved by the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) for the teaching of Aviation English in China. The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), formerly General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, is the aviation authority under the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It oversees civil aviation in mainland China.

Edgewater College regularly take part in Skillnets training courses to continually improve the services we offer. Skillnets is an enterprise-led support body whose mission is to enhance the skills of people in employment in Irish industry to support competitiveness and employability.
