Edgewater College has been involved in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for over twenty years. In this time we have developed an excellent English language faculty.

 

 

Our teacher training courses have been running successfully for over four years.

We offer:

 

 »  Initial training for those looking to enter the teaching profession

 »  In-service training for practising teachers looking to enter the EFL industry

 »  In-service training for English language teachers who want to improve

     their teaching skills

 

 

Our trainers are all practising English teachers who divide their time between training and teaching. They are all highly qualified and experienced teachers who have been selected to work at Edgewater College on the basis of their diverse experiences teaching various levels in schools around the world.

 

 

Edgewater College's CELT and the Preparatory TEFL course for State Qualified Teachers are fully recognised by the Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) who work under the auspices of

the Department of Education and Skills

 

                              

 

If you are a teacher from within the EU you may be eligible for an In-service training grant under the Comenius-Grundtvig scheme.
