Ideal for teachers of pre-schools through to upper secondary schools, the Comenius programme aims to develop understanding between various European cultures and different countries – these experiences can help foster personal development, skills and competences, and cultivate the notion of European citizenship.
The programme addresses the educational community in its broadest sense, including local authorities, parents associations or teacher training institutes.
Comenius aims to boost the quality of school education, strengthen its European dimension and promote mobility, language learning and greater inclusion. It supports partnerships between schools in the area of common interest and multilateral projects to develop new pedagogical methods or curricula.
It also funds education networks but more specifically, Comenius has the objective of promoting the participation of at least 3 million pupils in joint educational activities by 2013.

"Wonderful to be back in Ireland. We've had so much fun, picked up so much slang and other useful phrases, it has been great. Very good, friendly and helpful staff, everything has been so great.

- Mette Schultz Sorenson - Denmark.
"I really enjoyed having a variety of trainers, different personalities and approaches. I really found the course useful, varied and well balanced. I have been to several courses in the UK but I found this one the most interesting, useful and helpful. I appreciate your flexibility and preparation, all the teachers take their tasks seriously. I learned a lot about Ireland, Irish culture and Irish people. I really enjoyed Riverdance and the Irish storytelling session.I would definitely recommend the course, thank you and congratulations. I hope more teachers get the grant and can come".
- Katalin Lukacs - Hungary
"The course was very useful and made me realise a lot of things about my teaching, what I'm doing and what I shuld modify a bit. I'm going home with lots of ideas in my head , all I need it to put them into practise. The trainers were nice, well prepared and open to ideas, it's good to see different styles and makes you think about your own. Riverdance was stunning and Bru na Boinne was breath-taking"

- Mateja Janse - Slovenia
"Positive, well prepared lessons, friendly, supportive and sharing atmosphere. Thanks a lot for all your work and hope to be able to come again one day.
